I wanted to put together a gift basket for out of towners staying at a hotel. What would be good items..Most of them will not be staying in the columbus area after the wedding. The reception will be over by four pm so they're going to stay the night before after the rehearsal dinner and we'll have to be up EARLY. I was thinking mugs with cocoa or coffee (but not everyone drinks coffee)

When we stayed overnight last summer for my good friend's wedding, they sent gift baskets to everyone's hotel room....which I thought was a terrific idea! In them, they included bottled water for both, peanuts, granola bars, trail mix and gum (which we used the morning after....the mint gum helped ease our tummies for all the drinking we did the night before at the reception). For your baskets, the hot cocoa packets and coffee packets sound great....everyone likes either one or the other. If they are getting up early, you might want to include something you might take on-the-go for breakfast....breakfast bars or granola bars. Great idea Ches!!
