I'm trying to think of cute symbolic things to put in a graduation gift basket. Like a compass so you "never lose your way", or spices so your life "always has flavor". Any ideas?

Wow. That is a wonderful idea. Here are some suggestions from the top of my head: Small flower so you never get too busy for the simple things in life. A watch to never loose track of time. A journal to write down your memories/events so you can one day look back. Good luck and God Bless!
