My friend going to college to study art in september and she has to buy her own supplies but it's her birthday in a couple weeks so I thought I'd make her a gift basket with art supplies in it but I have no idea what to get.

A4andA3 cartridge, watercolour and acrylic, cardboard........ you'll need a big box for all of that but i'm not saying thats your job..... these are the things i used most in first year at college.... your local arts or craft store will sell you sets.... anyhoo a gift from a friend is always welcome......

If you know where she is going to college, you may want to consider giving her a gift card to the local supply store, or go online to the college and see if you can ask them where students are suggested to shop for supplies.
ReplyDeleteI think that the previous poster has terrific ideas, and I agree you are a great friend.
I would just be concerned about what supplies she would prefer. One of our daughters is an artist and is very particular about what she uses.
If you still wanted to get her a gift as well, you could visit a local art supply shop, and inquire as to a practical art supply container you could buy for your friend, and put the gift card inside. (Or a gift card like Amex, or Visa if you are not sure of what store to buy)
Then buy a beautiful note card and tell her your thoughts and what you have done.
I am sure she will love it either way.
I agree a gift from a friend is always welcome, as the previous poster stated :)
