My daughter is about to enter high school and a family friend would like to make her a gift basket of things she should have (or need) when entering high school. Any suggestions? Thanks!

i would say...a big set of sharpies for projects! (i use my set all the time!) A cute change purse for money, and everyone at my school has those mini sigg bottles- they have some really cool ones and also, this would be too expensive for a gift in a basket, but a graphing calculator is a must. (especially for standardized tests if you aren't guarenteed a graphing one, and for homework too.)even if she doesn't need one all the time yet, she definitely will by the end of high school. I think they are around $130. We use TI-84's at my school
