I have a close friend of 18 plus years. She's been?

having problems in her marriage. Her birthday came around, and my husband and I wanted her to feel special, so we had a nice little gift basket complete with candy and nice gift delivered to her place of work. When she called me later to acknowledge the gift, she bragged about how she told all her co-workers that it was from her husband. This really hurt my feelings. Telling her co-workers that is one thing, but why did she feel the need to tell me she did it? It totally made me feel like she was embarrassed to receive a gift from us, her friends. Am I wrong to feel hurt?

She probably considers you a good enough friend to be able to tell the truth too.... and She was probably really excited that everyone in the gossip pool called work though her hubby was a thoughtful man...it's hard enough feeling liek the one you love the most(and devoted your life to in matrimony)doesnt love you..BUT it's even worse when everyone at work makes remarks behind your back....I dont think she did it to hurt you..
