I got invited to a sleepover party for a girl in my grade - we used to be friends awhile back but I don't know what to get her now. I was thinking a gift card, but I don't want to seem to impersonal? Some of my ideas: A Basket from Claire's, full of random jewelry and stuff Books (any ideas on what?) help please!!! she's 14 and heading to high school this september..

I gift card to a store you know she likes is best. She might not like the jewlery you get. Books, she probably won't want them that much. Since you don't know her well, if you talk before the sleep over ask "I just went shopping at the mall yesterday. What are you r fave stores there?" Then just get her a 25-50 gift card there. Don't buy clothes or personalized gifts because one, you don't know her size, and two, you don't know her taste.
