i'm a student and i don't have a lot of spare money, but i want to make valentines day really special for my boyfriend this year. i love to cook, and i was thinking of getting a basket and putting the ingredients for his favourite meal in it, and then giving it to him as his gift and making the dinner for him. in the basket i plan to hide little notes and surprises like heart shaped cookies and train tickets to our favourite place to visit. my question is, would you like to recieve this gift? do you think it is a good idea? or could you think of anything better? suggestions are welcome, help me please!

I think you should make the meal instead of putting it in a basket cus then your kind of like grabbing the basket back from him unless you two make it together, i think you should give him the menu in the basket for dinner and whatever else you wanted in it like the cookies and train ticket but yes its a good idea :)
