My company is trying to come up with a unique standard gift idea (as opposed to flowers or a fruit basket) for employee's when they get married. Our budget is only about $100 so we can't give employees an extra week off or anything overly extravagant. It also needs to be appropriate for people who are either getting married locally or at a destination (i.e. someone suggested paying for the use of a limo for a day, but a lot of people are choosing destination weddings these days so a limo wouldn't work for them). If you have any ideas I'd be most appreciative!

My company / coworkers gave my husband and I a $100 gift card to a home improvement store as a wedding gift. It was AWESOME! We could pick from new paint for the living room, a new microwave, stuff for the yard - it was great! We eneded up putting the gift card towards a new fridge, (which we LOVE). Even if you're not a homeowner, you'll find something you can't live without at a home improvement store.
