A good friend of mine recently found out she has cancer and will have to undergo chemotherapy and radiation. She is part of a group of girls I associate with and we are thinking about getting a basket together for her filled with an assortment of goodies. I was thinking of a either a book or a gift card to a bookstore, fuzzy socks, a movie. I was wondering if anyone had any other suggestions to place in the basket. Are there any new items out there specifically for cancer patients undergoing radiation and chemo?

I was always cold while getting chemo... a nice blanket that can be easily folded and carried. A CD player or DVD that can be loaned to her. A nice water bottle...
