I'm bouncing around the idea in my head of making and selling baked holiday treats for some extra cash around the holiday season. I don't really know how I'd go about getting clients- but that's further down the road. I need to figure out if it would be worth it to buy the supplies- if the amount I would sell them for would offset the cost of the supplies and be worth the time in the kitchen (although I love baking, so I don't think I'd mind the time in the kitchen). In the baskets/platters I'd put An assortment of cookies Amish Sugar Cookies Chocolate Chip Cookies Gingerbread Cookies Peanut Butter Chocolate Chip Drop Cookies ...etc... Peanut Brittle/Almond Brittle Rice Krispy Treats Stuffed Dates Reindeer Noses (small pretzels with a Hershey Kiss and M&M on top) Peanut Chews ...and other holiday treats. So, my question is, would you purchase something like this to give out as a gift or to have for yourself? If yes, how much would you pay for a small assortment, medium assortment, large assortmet. And what would you consider a small, medium, and large assortment. I would package them nicely with a holiday theme (Christmas, Hanukka, Kwanza, whatever your choice). I would also be open to the idea of shipping them as gifts. I'm also consider offering an assortment of pies. Peanut Butter Pie, Apple Crumb Pie, Pumpkin Pie, etc. Any advice/insight you could offer would be great! Thanks for taking the time to read!

I am a nut for homemade gifts and I tell you right now I would pay $50 for the platter you described. I have paid 30.00 for a small 40.00 for a medium and 50.00 for a large look at Pepperidge farm their stuff is not cheap and I bet yours is better.
