My mother-in-law is going to have a hysterectomy next month and is going to be out of work for 2 months. I want to give her a gift basket that has some crafts/goodies she could use so she won't get bored in recovery. She likes to crochet so I'm getting her a crochet hook and some yarn. I'm also going to put a heating pad in there too. Are there any suggestions of things I should put in her basket?

I would get cotton yarn in rainbow colors and print out patterns for dish cloths. This would be small projects she could do and put down. Some nice magazines. Some special Tea or Coffee depending what she drinks. Maybe a special cheer-full mug or cup. Does she like crosswords or Puzzle books? Maybe some note cards and a pen set so she can write. Crackers, cookies, and maybe soup.
