Long story short, my little sister passed away a few weeks ago, and I wanted to do something special for them in memorium for my baby sister. I had thought of the ingenious idea of getting a star named after her; but further research showed that it is only a novelty item, and in fact is not official. I wanted to hear some ideas from you guys for gifts that would be unique, different from the flower bouquets and gift baskets. Thanks!!

Retrieve a photo of her, from a time in her life when she was at her best. Either have it blown up a bit, or paint a larger version. Then, hire a poet to write a short poem about her and what she stood for (or you could write the poem). Make sure to work with the poet so that the poem has a personal touch to it. Last frame the work together. If this is done right, it can be pretty amazing. Good luck, hopefully this sparks some ideas...
