I am helping my daughter 19,(the bridesmaid) and the MOH 22, throw a bridal shower for my other daughter who is getting married in August. So another words, I am planning, paying for it, but their names are on the invite as the hosts and will get all the credit. Anyways... my question is... since most people feel that favors are a waste of money and get left behind at weddings, does the same apply for the showers? There will be 9 gift baskets given away between the games and door prizes, as well as there are 42 small items that will be given away during her gift opening (when the timer dings whoever's gift she is opening will be allowed to choose something from the basket of trinkets). So are additional table favors needed? What are some of you doing or have seen at showers you have attended?
--------------------
considering you are doing so many other gifts i don't think you HAVE to do favors.... if you do favors, something edible is always great... i did a "tea party" shower and the favors were a packet of tea and biscotti, whoever doesnt' drink or eat those things just passed it to someone else. but at another shower we did "bath confetti", and i know for me, that stuff always ends up in the garbage. so if you do a favor and want to know it will be used- go with edible. much more likely it will be used! but with all those other gifts, you could skip it i think.
