My friend is leaving for mexico this month for college. It saddens me to say that i can't think of ANYTHING clever to get her. it's probable that i won't see her again, so i would like to give her something that she can use/keep/remember me with. i am so horrid at coming up with gift ideas, so i usually just pick up a bath basket or something. however, i wanted this to be special. any ideas???

You could make a small scrapbook; that would be something she would treasure forever. In the back of the scrapbook, write your contact information & perhaps the contact information for a family member such as a parent (or someone who would able to give you a message). That way, she might be able to find you later in life. If you want to go a cheaper route, make a 'memory box' instead. Fill it with all kinds of things... be creative. Decorate the outside and write your names in glitter. A basket of bath items are nice, but will not last forever. Going off to college, she will likely get homesick and your gift may help her thru it. I hope this helps.
