I am hosting a bridal shower for my dearest friend in May. Since the bride and groom already live together, they don't need anything. Their apartment is small and would prefer cash instead. I am trying to find ways to raise money at the bride's shower for their honeymoon or other expenses they may have. I thought of putting together gift baskets and holding an auction or raffling them off, but I am not sure how to go about doing it. I don't want it to turn out tacky or have people feel pressured to fork over a bunch of money. PLEASE HELP. I would appreciate any ideas or input relating to how I can raise a good chunk of money for the happy couple.

That is highly improper. If the couple can't afford a honeymoon, etc then they need to find something within their means.
