I want to make a gift basket for our work party and we are doing a white santa style gift pass out. (this is new to me) Well I was thinking of making a basket of wine and chocolates and cheese. Can anyone help me w/ a type of wine that goes well w/ chocolate and a good cheese that would match well w/ the wine? I would GREATLY APPRECIATE IT!! Thank you in advance for your suggestions! :)

A heavy red goes well with chocolate. Something like a Cabernet Sauvignon, a Zinfandel, or even a Shirah (or Shiraz, if it's Australian). These reds tend to have almost chocolatey undertones in their aftertaste. And, they should go well with stronger cheeses. Something like brie or camembert (soft, spreadable cheeses), sharp cheddar, or even a Swiss.
