Just kind of a fun question here. I have a 25 dollar gift card to Bass Pro and probably heading up there this weekend. What would you purchase with this gift card? I of course can't go to Bass Pro and only spend 25 bucks, I'll have a basket filled up with baits that'll add up very fast, happens everytime. I'm just thinking of "different" things to maybe get. I stumbled upon a mechanical device that takes the line off of your reels for you which I thought was pretty neat and would save me the trouble of having to wrap gobbs of line around my hand. Any more ideas?

Yeah, a despooler would be nice, as would any gadget that you've sort of considered getting but thought, "Is it worth it? Will I really use it?" Or some goofy but intriguing lure or bait that makes you ask yourself "I wonder if this really works." The giftcard makes it worth trying, because if you never use the gadget or if the new wonderbait doesn't really work, you didn't waste your own, hard-earned money. Another thing I tend to get with giftcards is stuff that is expendable (in my case, fly tying materials). Such "expenses" like line and splitshot and fasteners can nickel and dime you, but nothing's worse than realizing you're out of something the night before a trip or while you're sitting in the boat. So if I get a sizable gift card, I try to get a good stockpile of whatever it is, so that it's a while before I have to remember to get more. In your case, sounds like that might be baits of various kinds. Might want to think about stuff that is only related to fishing, like a nice pair of gloves, shades, socks, or a hat. Do you have a good LED headlamp or one of those ballcaps with the little LED light in the bill? A bright, reliable lightsource is critical. Maybe don't spend the 25 bucks on something that costs 25 bucks but apply it to something more expensive and consider it a "discount," like a new rod/reel outfit. Tell you what, send me the giftcard and I'll look around and see what they have. I'm sure I'll find something good. At least you'll know it didn't go to waste...
