I am going to suggest something a little bit different than the norm here. Bought-en things are just that. But a gift from your heart, effort and imagination creates a memory that will last a lifetime. Sit down and write them a letter that comes from your heart and tells them how much you love them, how hard your life would be without them in it. Than add other little things throughout the day so the birthday gift lasts all day long. Or another thing you could do is make them a coupon booklet with 52 coupons in it (one for each week of a year.). You could choose some of their favorite things to do with you. Lots of one on one time in it. For your sister, going shopping together, Going out for ice cream at your expense, or other fun things she likes. Maybe girls night in where you sit and talk and paint your nails together or something she really enjoys like that. For your Father, a walk together. You making him dinner. A foot rub after a long hard day at work. A hour of pampering, getting him his favorite drink, making him a favorite snack. A day just hanging out together. Washing and polishing his car. Cleaning the garage, taking the trash out for him... What ever they like and you can do for them from your heart. The things they like the most, make more coupons of. this would be a gift they would remember years down the road and when ever they thought about it, it would bring a smile to their faces. A gift that would keep on giving through out the year and would cost you little money, but a whole lot of togetherness and time.
