You see, every year our school has a fundraiser and what happens is that each class will pick a theme and make a gift basket sort of thing where each student brings in one item to contribute to the basket. Then at our christmas concert parents can buy tickets and put them in a draw for each basket and then at the end of the night we draw names and that person wins the basket....I got assigned to bring in a book that is classic, but since I'm not a fan of classics myself I was wondering if you could tell me some REALLY good classic books or even just a book that the majority of people would like.

Please don't buy any Victorian classics like Jane Eyre. Not everyone can follow along with Old English manuscript. Also avoid Shakespearean literature. Not everyone digs ancient manuscript. The Great Gatsby...Of mice and men...Old Man and the Sea Those are classic AND easy to follow along with reads.
