To purchase a chocolate/snack gift basket for my boyfriends parents? I have been dating him for almost 2 years but I met his parents only once about 5 months ago (they live out of state) and they have asked about me casually (how Im doing, etc) and I was wondering if it would be a nice gesture or if it would be inapropriate to send a gift basket with chocolates and cookies?

In general, I think it is a lovely gesture but I would check with him first just to make sure it won't cause any problem.
