my best friend will be starting her teaching career in a few months. for christmas she is asking for things for her classroom but she isn't a 100% sure what all she will need. so i want to buy her a basket of things she will need as a gift. what all should i get for her? what was the one thing you wish you had your first day as an elm. teacher?

Some cute bulletin board supplies are good for elementary teachers- borders, holiday pictures, etc. Decorated storage bins for supplies like crayons, pencils, scissors, etc. Some personalized pencils, pens, notepads. See if there is a teacher supply store in your area and look around. There are always some really good things that you wouldn't have thought about, but once you see them, you have to have them.
