Hi i am making a food hamper for Christmas as a gift .Any ideas where i can buy a hamper basket? Or have you any ideas what i can place the food in please?

Hi, what a lovely thought for a gift. I guess it would depend on how much room you need. You could try craft stores, they often have cane baskets. Or home decorating stores. If these prove unsuccessful or too expensive, possibly try a dollar/discount store or even a thrift shop. Department stores also carry buckets for ice at parties, they might fit the bill too. My mum made a hamper for my sister once, and she bought a washing basket to put it all in. It was just that little bit of extra practicality that lent a real shine to her gift. It would also work for a food hamper, and washing baskets have all those ventilation holes to attach decorations and tinsel to!
