Making a kosher fruit basket?

I'm trying to make a fruit basket to bring as a gift since my friend invited me for thanksgiving. They keep kosher, so I wanted to check --I plan on using fresh uncut fruit which should be fine (I'm thinking apples, pears, oranges), but what about the basket that it's in? I know using nonkosher utensils can make normally kosher food non-kosher; is the basket going to be a problem?
--------------------
answer: really check over the fruit very carefully for any hint of bugs (usually not a problem but with grapes, raisins and other bunches of fruits it is sometimes). Any hint of bugs makes fruit trefel - non-Kosher. Fruit and veggies are always allowed. Great idea, btw! The basket shouldn't be a problem as long as it hasn't contained anything not allowed in a kosher home: pork, non-kosher beef, non-kosher chicken, etc. Maybe line the basket with a napkin or small towel?
