My MIL is obsessed with everything being "picture perfect for Christmas, pretty much for pretty pictures, not the experience. "I'm" not very traditional. i don't dress up to be around people I see all the time. I don't use wrapping paper or gift bags. I Use baskets, stockings and reusable bags for gift giving. I just HATE all the waste. I put a damper on her ideal of what Christmas should be. What's more important HAVING a good time or just looking like it for pictures?

Its more important to have a good time and make lasting memories. Trying for the picture perfect christmas will just bring stress to everyone. I say be yourself and have fun.
