If you spent your time and money doing small things for your significant other and your he or she never did anything special for you? How would you feel? Would you talk to him/her about it, say you were disappointed or just let it be? Examples: Making him/her an easter basket. Sending him/her good morning text messages every single morning. Texting him/her everyday when you get out of school to say bye since they have to go into school when you get out. Surprising him/her with small gifts or their favorite candy every once in a while. Or anything like that. How would you handle that situation.

Just talk to him about what each of you expects/needs/wants out of your relationship. Then mention that you would like to have more effort on his part (let him decide "what" it is that he would do, as it means nothing if it doesn't come from the heart). Try not to compare all of what you do vs. what he does NOT do.. Some people just don't think of doing all those things (like myself) but still love the person they are in a relationship. We all are different, and remember he is not a mind reader.=)
