I got this pot set as a gift and it has a pasta insert that goes in one of the pots. I just don't know how to use it and what the point is, exactly. Are you supposed to use it like a steamer basket with very little water in the bottom of the pot, or is it just so that you don't have to use a separate strainer to drain the water? Its so you don't have to use a separate strainer. There's no pouring. Just lift the pasta out.
