What's a good present to give my friend?

Well, my best friend is turning 13. She likes nail polish a lot. Her favorite color if aqua blue (sort of like turquoise). She likes to read and write. She wears stuff like eyeshadow and mascara, but i don't go into the whole makeup stuff. since i don't know anything about makeup, i don't want to get her..well.. makeup. I don't know what her favorite shopping store is.. so gift cards are out. I don't know what music she likes either.. so that's out too.. lol... i don't know a lot about her... =.= i was kinda thinking about the whole basket kit thing (where you put in lotion, soap, and perfume stuff), but.. i have horrible taste in that kind of thing. So.....basically, my last choice is to get her some pretty nail polish and a diary/journal kit. Please tell me if that's too kiddy or something. And if you have some other present suggestions, please tell me. ^^ THX

if she's into makeup get her a Sephora or Mac gift card, If not you cant go wrong with just some money in an envelope :) The basket sounds cute and very thoughtful so if she's your best friend then give her the basket.
