My wedding was about two weeks ago and I invited a new friend I made a few months ago in a college class. She invited me to her wedding a month before and I just brought my husband and purchased a gift off her registry. I later gave her an invitation to mine and she RSVP'd with five people. I didn't put a limit on number of guest but was still surprised, but when she came to the wedding she had brought her mom, sister, and her teenage daughter and husband. I didn't think badly of it and have always had a "the more the merrier" attitude. Later when I was opening gifts and cards with my husband the day after the wedding in front of family members I saw she had put a invitation for her daughter's sweet 16 in our card basket. I was a bit taken back and my family giggled and said don't worry "I'm sure they put a gift in there for you", well to my surprise they didn't give us any gift, not even a card! I paid about $30 (30 X 5=$180) per plate at the wedding and I didn't even receive a $25 gift card. Am I wrong for being angry? while it was rude of her to bring five random people to the wedding, gifts are never required nor should they be expected i wouldnt invite her to any more functions for fear she would bring her entire family, but since gifts are not a requirement, you cant get mad at her for that
