I'm at a loss for what to buy my stepmother for Christmas. I the past, I've done date nights for her and my father, but I feel like it's played out. She's in her mid-40's, is big on status, dresses classically, and works as a elementary school teacher. She has very little time on her hands, but does the spa, manicure and pedicure thing...and she lives 300 miles away from me, so it's hard for me to find a place she might use. I've done the picture thing, I've done the gift basket of bath goods, etc...what do you recommend? I don't want to spend more than around $25 if possible. I need ideas!!

personally, i would steer clear of the teacher gifts with apples and such. this is impersonal coming from a relative and done to death. one thing i gave someone as a gift once that went over really well was i got a big pretty oversized coffee mug and filled it with a mix of biscotti, chocolate, and flavored coffees. if she is a tea drinker, you could use tea instead. if you do the coffee thing, spring for the good stuff, as most big coffee drinkers like having the good stuff every once in a while.
